This game seems to only exist for tournament play as its essentially just time trials. I have read its supports the Famicom Fax addon so you can send in your times to nintendo and maybe claim a reward. Main game is in 3D. Strangely the dashboard is only shown every other frame so this flickers even in standard 2D mode. I cant say if its an emu or game issue. I played each course once with a different car for each. This is a 2D video of the game Space Harrier 3-D on the master system which utilized the Sega Scope 3D glasses. This recording is also using native PSG audio. This is quite a difficult version of the game. Enemy fire can get you within 4 rendered frames (not counting lag frames) which doesnt give you alot of time to move. Moving is one thing you need to do constantly though as the enemy always fires at the point you are when they fire. I think the number of ground obstacles are also... All 7 of my Nintendo Famicom 3D Longplays converted from frame sequential to Side by Side 3D format. (Left frame First - Crosseye) To watch on pc, you can download Stereoscopic player from http://3dtv.at/Downloads/Index_en.aspx . You can then set various methods to suit your 3D viewing. or use the 3D media player that comes with your 3D screen (Tridef mediaplayer, nVidia 3D-Vision player). ZX Spectrum 48k There were quite alot of these tunnel run 3d wireframe games on the spectrum, but i think this on is one of the earliest ones and most fondly remembered. The game pretty much loops enlessly getting more difficult each time. In this longplay, I play on Hard mode and last as long as I can. Topics: 3D Star Strike, zx spectrum, game, computer, longplay
Japanese version of Rad Racer, played in 3d mode. Only the gameplay part is 3d though, title and ending are not. I didn't find the turbo boost till track 2 lol. Accelerate is 'A' and Turbo is Up Direction which is infinite. One annoyance is the Music. You can change between 3 music tracks at any time with the Down direction. However steering the car at breakneck speeds I often hit down while im steering causing the music to jump. The music doesn't really fit the game for me. If they were going... A short game/longplay. The shortness probably makes it the best suited game for the Virtual Boy considering every game recommends you take a rest every 15 mins. Aiming the ball and getting a strike is much more difficult then in Virtual Bowling. There is no auto shot setup, and your aim needs to be dead on. I've shown 3 runs. 00:00:00 First run, trying to show a few of nesters animations 00:04:01 Second run, I go for the 300 point perfect. 00:06:44 Challenge mode. I should have spent more time... Back in time where games were created to never be completed, to keep players coming back time and time again, this game was created to annoy, and ultimately no reward. The game is hard and the bosses can be a major pain with the time limit running. The ending sucks, and all it gives is a cheat that I cant tell if works or not. Does the game suck then? No, not at all. It makes a mild use of the 3D feature, the levels are fairly short and does require some memorization, especially where the extra... Not a bad shootem that makes real nice use of 3D to provide an upper and lower shooting area. Stage 4 looks really good. The game was played on Hard and let me tell you, it was no walkthrough. The bosses ere downright evil and the game feels to fast to play on the Original hardware to me. I had it zoomed and on a big screen to help me out. The game uses a difficult scale of 1,2,3 but to play each difficulty feels like its should be 1,2,10 its that much of a jump. Stage 5 is multiple boss fights... The Super Nintendo answer to Space Harrier? Its a nice psychedelic tunnel rail shooter with just the right difficulty curve. The energy refill points are just in the right places. The bosses are easy enough. just keep moving in a circular motion and avoid hitting the outside area and they wont last to long ....well, apart from the last one. All player ships shown. The only difference that I can tell is how fast the charge shot charges. Recorded here is the built in experimental 3D mode... Space Squah Being in Japanese I had no idea what was going on in the game. Before each level you can select what your special power up will be, so I just had to select as random. Had I read the faq first, I would have known what I was selecting, and the boss battles would have gone much smoother. It took me a while to figure up you need to charge your special power, so you dont see me doing that till near end of the game. and I do only take on the last boss with a suitable special power, Thank... The actual 3D is just the game area, not cutscenes and not even the player sprite! A Space Harrier style game with a story, and perhaps the most satisfying ending to any game from this era. I quite liked the tunnel sequences. Topics: nes, nintendo, entertainment system, game, console, longplay, complete, Cosmic Epsilon, 3D

This is a great shootemup for the master System, and shows of the 3D very well. You play on an upper and lower field and have to dodge shots which move between fields and also kill whatever enemies are on your plain. A very good game in my opinion for the SegaScope 3-D. This in an alternate longplay using the native PSG audio of the game. Topics: blade eagle 3-d, sega, segascope 3d, game, console, longplay, genesis, mega drive, complete
A late 1998 genesis release only in the Brazil territory. While it was sold on cart, its said the port was never officially commissioned. I played this mainly to show of its technical merits rather then as a great game that must be played. The game makes extensive use of a dithering technique that makes use of the properties of an old rf/composite signal to produce additional colours. I have uploaded this filtered video as it is a better representation of the game and perhaps easier to watch.... So a Konami game using the Nintendo Floppy disk addon, and the 3D addon. I,ve cut the loading messages after level 1. I enjoyed playing through this shooter even, its fast and smooth and plenty to shoot at/dodge. The last stage was a real pain in the ass. really long and deadly. The game might have been waiting for me to shoot something in particular that i was missing, but I dont know what it is if so. Another 3D nes game in the style of Space Harrier. Quite short but not to bad a game. you could easily get through it by staying out of the way of the enemies and keeping on the move at the boss stages. RedAlert (DOH!, I Mean RedAlarm) for the virtual boy. A space ship shooter that is the bastard child of Atari's Batle Zone and Nintendo's starfox. Due to the VB's 2 dpad control system, it was quite difficult to emulate on my xbox pad, and these issue's make me look like a sloppy player in the vid (Yeah, its the controls fault! ) Not a bad game though, if a little short. As im playing in 2d, and only see the 3d after I have generated a video, all the lines can make the screen messy and this is... Not a bad bowling game. The tournament does go on abit to long though making the game a bit repetitive to play and boring to watch. Especially as you always face against the same players which should have been knocked out in the previous round ;) Once i get hand of the game , I soon realise the game is easier then it looks. You don't ever have to setup the shot. All you need to do is make sure you hit the button when spin meter is in the center and hit the power right on the mark, STRIKE!... The 3D Works really well. All fighters defeated to become the ultimate champ! The game makes use of both D-pads, one to control each hand. The challenge here is mapping them to useful controls to play the game and getting your head around being able to control each arm ;) Topics: Virtual Boy, Nintendo, Game, Console, Toleroboxer, 3D, Boxing, sport, longplay, gameplay
The game is endless, so I just played until my lives ran out. The game also ends if there is no else left alive to rescue. I let the title screen play its music fully, since its probably the best part of the whole game, although the ingame music is'nt bad either. Idea of the game seems to be just get highest score by keeping everyone alive and keeping your multiplier up. Gameplay starts at 00:02:50 Ideally you keep moving in the game and shoot enemies as fast as possible, but I quickly get... Aternate longplay showing the FM soundtrack to compare with previous longplay using the native PSG soundtrack. I quite like this game. Rockets are ideally saved for the boss ships, but may be necessary when to much is shooting at you and you need to clear the enemies quickly. You get one life to get through the game so you dont want to let many shots get through especially before you get Armour upgrades. There doesn't seem to be an absolute end to the game. You get a trophy every 100,000 points with the nearest resemblance to an ending when you reach 999,999 points. Launched in 1992, this is game is truly a pioneer. It's probably the first game the successfully merged the action games and puzzle focused adventures and the first game (if I'm not incorrect) that merged 3D characters with 2D hand drawn backgrounds. It's thought mostly relevant for being an obvious inspiration for Resident Evil, which is probably the game that altered the industry and lead it to more story focused games. "You will see the creation of new lives." Fishy shmup by Taito and probably the best game in the series (either this or Gaiden).
